Perforator Alpha is a boss that appears in Agnisort. Her appearance is a four-directional, rotating turret.

Boss Room[ | ]

Perforator Alpha's boss room consists of 3 vertical wires that stretch the whole length of the room with 3 horizontal wires overlaid on top of them. There are 8 Flame Spewers, 2 in each corner to discourage fighting outside of the grid the wires make. Several platforms are within the grid. One moving platform in each of the empty spaces formed inside the grid. A long stationary platform that stretches the entirety of the bottom wire, two stationary platforms on either side of the grid center and aligned with the middle wire, and a stationary platform just below the top wire that dwarfs the bottom platform, but is still longer than the two middle platforms.

Moveset[ | ]

Vera One of the two moves that Perforator uses, but is the more versatile of them. Vera is also the move you receive when you defeat her. When Perforator is in any of the 8 intersections of the wire grid, she will fire a small spread of Vera bullets at the player. When in the center of the grid, she will fire Vera in all four of her turret cannons, rotating either clockwise or counter-clockwise 90 degrees. At higher levels and when enraged, she may rotate for longer.

Bullet Wave The second of the two moves the Perforator uses, but not as frequently. Perforator may sometimes fire a 360-degree wave of bullets from her current position. When enraged, she may create a bullet wave when firing Vera in the center.

Weakness[ | ]

Perforator is vulnerable to Eternal Star's Shadespur. Using Shadespur not only deals increased damage but will also disrupt Perforator when rotating and firing Vera.

Strategy[ | ]

Perforator Alpha is pretty unpredictable in her movement along the wires, especially when enraged as she increases her speed and moves between two intersections instead of one. It's highly advisable to keep your distance and shoot from afar with Nina or hit and run with Ace. When Perforator is in any of the intersections, lead her shots away from your designated path to ensure minimal to no damage. When she is in the center, follow her rotation. Having Nina with either the Star Beam or Forkalator, or having any of the other powers gives you the ability to attack her when either above or below her.

Alpha Lore (Level 1+ Kill)[ | ]

Shoot-First Unit, built as a fully autonomous Corp Facility protection solution.

Taking slight liberties with the wording of the Home Security Liberty Act of 2034, The Perforator's architects designed it to be the ultimate point-defense drone, complete with limited FreeMove rail, omnidirectional BulletSpray tech, and state-of-the-art TargetChoose threat detection software. Sprays bullets wherever it wants, sometimes at incoming threats.

Beta Lore (Level 5+ Kill)[ | ]

As it turns out, "state-of-the-art" doesn't always imply "production-ready" tech. I told them TargetChoose wasn't ready - I told them it needed more time. They told me Q4 was an "ambitious" delivery timeframe - I insisted it was insane. We "proudly reached" version "1.0" by taking the first build that didn't "indiscriminately eviscerate all organic matter within its optical detection radius", setting fire to the server housing our bug tracker, and promptly shuttering the department.

Gamma Lore (Level 8+ Kill)[ | ]

Perforator's production line was permanently canceled after the fourth purchaser's facility suffered "insurmountable" personnel losses, and the unsold units went on Black Auction for pennies on the dollar. Having joined up with the project, "indiscriminate semi-mobile death machine" suddenly sounded useful, and "pennies on the dollar" matched our budget quite well. We purchased the remainder and looked forward to a repeat performance.
